“Kalvi was undergoing treatment in the hospital since June 2022 after suffering from a brain stroke.” Said Anchal Sharma, Superintendent, SMS Hospital.

Lokendra Singh Kalvi founded the Rajput Karni Sena in 2006 intending to strengthen the Rajput community of the nation.

Karni Sena came into the news when they initiated a fierce protest against Bollywood film ‘Padmavat’.

Lokendra Singh Kalvi was the son of former Rajasthan minister Kalyan Singh Kalvi. Kalyan Singh Kalvi was the agriculture minister in Bhairon Singh Shekhawat’s government. Lokendra Singh Kalvi had joined the Congress in 2008 in the hope of getting a ticket but the party did not field him. Kalvi had joined hands with the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) before the 2014 Lok Sabha elections.

Kalvi contested the Lok Sabha elections from Barmer-Jaisalmer’s seat but had to face defeat. Please tell that from this seat his father Kalyan Singh Kalvi had contested the Lok Sabha elections and was elected MP.
