Inquiry into SSP’s shout out on WPCs in Panadura

Police Media Spokesman, SSP Nihal Talduwa said that an inquiry will be made as to whether an investigation against a Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) is being carried out or not in connection with an incident where the SSP had berated four Women Police Constables while many people were watching, for not wearing their caps but carrying them in their hands and not saluting properly.

The SSP had berated the female officers on his way. This incident had happened on March 10 when two officers of the Children and Women’s s Bureau had been walking from the women’s hostel of the Panadura South Police to the Panadura SSP’s office, together with an officer from the warehouse division and a clerk of the ASP’s office.
