IND vs AUS: Ashwin takes 6 wickets; Australia bowled out for 480 on Day 2

New Delhi: India bowled out Australia for 480 on Day 2 of the 4th Test match at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Friday. Ravichandran Ashwin was the most successful bowler for India as he picked up 6-wickets.

Indian all-rounder Axar Patel removed the most successful Australian batter Usman Khawaja for 180. While Mohammed Shami got 2 wickets, Jadeja registered one wicket.

Australia innings recap

While there were three stars during Australia’s first innings, opener Khawaja stole the show by cementing a strong century. Eventually, fell for 180 runs; Cameron Green pushed the innings and scored his first Test century.

Murphy and Lyon partnership

The tail-ender Todd Murphy and Nathan Lyon also tried their hand at batting and stitched together 50 plus partnership. Murphy and Lyon were removed by R Ashwin for 41 and 34.

Ashwin 6-wicket vs Australia

For India, R Ashwin scalped 6-wickets and removed all the important batters of Australia. He first removed Travis Head on the first day of the Test. On the second day, he went on scalping Cameron green (114), Alex Carey (0), Mitchell Starc (6), Nathan Lyon (34) and Todd Murphy (41).

Pacer Mohammed Shami got 2 wickets, while Axar Patel bagged Usman Khawaja’s wickets and Jadeja removed captain Steve Smith.
