Hook, Line, and Sinker: Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga on Netflix is a great weekend watch

By Ashwani Kumar: Ajay Singh directorial Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga is one of the rarest of films, which changes its genre from action-thriller to revenge-drama. Sunny Kaushal portrays young businessman Ankit Sethi as the ideal boyfriend who will do anything to impress his partner. When Ankit first meets Yami, portraying an air hostess, he falls in love with her right away. Their relationship started out acrimoniously when Neha snapped at Ankit when they first met in a nightclub. However, luck was on Ankit’s side when Neha’s car crashed en-route. As the two of them developed a bond that led to multiple dates, he volunteered to drive her and dropped her off at a house.

Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga Review

While everything is going well, Neha comes to know that she is pregnant. Ankit gets overwhelmed hearing the news and goes on his knees as he proposes to Neha for a marriage. The horror starts now when Neha learns that his betrothed is being pursued by some thugs who want to kill him while one of his co-workers takes off with millions of dollars’ worth of diamonds, for which Ankit is held responsible. In a flashback, Neha describes how her underworld-related father perished in an accident. She decides to help her spouse who later is embroiled in a fight with the goons attacking him. During this fight a random kick in her belly shatters all the hope as the baby gets aborted.

The emotional viewpoint was well matched with the interest built till the end with Indraneil Sen Gupta and Sharad Kelkar performing their characters beautifully till end.The plot moves with Neha helping his fiancee smuggle a diamond worth 120 crores in the plane which gets hijacked. Ankit tries all the ways to grab hold of the diamond and eventually obtains it, but subsequently discovers it was a phoney.

Well, Neha takes a sweet revenge as the audience gets to know that the hijack was a planned one merely to exact revenge on Ankit who faked his love with Neha to become the richest with all the diamond smuggling. Yami delivers yet another intense performance after ‘A Thursday’ that deserves an applause. Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga is written by Siraj Ahmed and Amar Kaushik . The direction was very nicely executed by Ajay Singh who manages to keep the audience engaged till the end. The music by Vishal Mishra is another highlight of the film. The songs are well-placed and add to the overall experience.
