Delhi government extends ‘old liquor policy’ for 6 months

New Delhi: The Delhi government on Wednesday extended the ‘old liquor excise policy’ for six months. The government ask officials to prepare a new excise policy very soon.

The Delhi government withdrew the new excise policy after Lieutenant Governor Vinay Saxena asked not to implement the new excise policy.

There will be 5 dry days during these 6 months on Mahavir Jayanti, Good Friday, Buddha Purnima, Eid al-Fitr & Eid al-Adha.

The old policy will be in function until a new excise policy is formulated.

As per the old liquor policy, there will be 5 dry days during these 6 months. The liquor shops of the national capital will be closed on Mahavir Jayanti, Good Friday, Buddha Purnima, Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha.
