CEB took part in the recent professional trade union action (01 March). Based on the attendance of CEB workers at the protests, Minister of Power and Energy Kanchana Wijesekera has stated in a Twitter message that “CEB officials attendance was at 60% during the protests that was held on Wednesday (1). While some services was not available to the public, It could be one indicator to take into account in restructuring on the numbers needed to operate CEB to have an uninterrupted supply of power.”
