Apple not planning to bring USB-C to AirPods 3: Reports

USB-C in Apple: If reports are to be believed, Apple is supposedly not wanting to bring USB-C port to third-gen AirPods, while the organisation might do so with the most recent rendition of the second-gen AirPods Pro not long from now.

Ming-Chi Kuo, an industry analyst for Apple, claims that the tech giant does not appear to be working on AirPods 2 and 3 with USB-C ports.

“I think this is logical the USB-C form of the AirPods Pro 2… Incidentally, Apple presently seems to have no designs for USB-C adaptations of the AirPods 2 and 3,” he tweeted.

The fact that Apple intends to release a revised version of the second-generation AirPods Pro with a USB-C port rather than the most recent AirPods version makes Kuo’s comment seem noteworthy.

Additionally, the rumours suggest that Apple is delaying the addition of a USB-C port to its fourth-generation AirPods.

In the meantime, it is said that Apple is developing an “Airpods Lite” version to compete with cheaper wireless earbuds.

AirPods are currently available in four models, ranging from the second-generation AirPods to the more advanced AirPods Max. Despite their widespread popularity, AirPods are not exactly inexpensive.

Jeff Pu, an analyst at Haitong International Securities, claims that demand for AirPods is expected to decline by 2023.
