The Election Commission after the discussion held today (07 March), has announced that the best date to hold Local Government elections is on 25 April.
The commission has said that the District Election Officers were given relevant instructions to that effect.
Commission further stated that due to unforeseen and unavoidable issues related to the printing of ballot papers and other facilities related to holding polls, the election can not be held on 09 March as initially scheduled.
