A toddler was reported dead after she was run over by a car driven by her multi-millionaire uncle at their home in Kohuwala, Kalubowila yesterday.
The one and a half year old toddler had died while receiving treatment at the National Hospital in Colombo.Police have arrested the 28-year-old uncle of the deceased, who is a businessman and the vehicle also has been taken into the Police custody.
The incident had happened on Thursday afternoon (16) and the toddler was found before the vehicle on the floor of the garage.
The incident has been recorded in CCTV cameras. However, the Police said that there was no blood visible at the scene of the incident. The suspect was to be produced before the Court. Police are investigating.
