Sridevi was seen smiling as she lovingly hugged Janhvi in her arms in the cute photo. The actress penned a sweet note along with the photo that read, “Happy birthday Mumma i miss you more and more everyday. I love u forever (sic).”
On Sridevi’s 3rd death anniversary in 2021, Janhvi Kapoor shared a handwritten note that the late actress wrote for her. Remembering her late mother, Janhvi captioned the post as, “Miss you.” The note that Sridevi wrote for Janhvi reads, “I love you my labbu you are the best baby in the world.”
Sridevi’s legacy lives on via her work. On the fifth anniversary of her death, the popular film English Vinglish will be released in China (February 24). The drama marked Sridevi’s return to the big screen after a 15-year absence.
English Vinglish went on to become India’s official entry for the Best Foreign Language Film category at the Academy Awards in 2013. The film’s plot follows Sridevi as a housewife who decides to take English classes in the United States after being humiliated by her husband and daughter. Later, after taking language training, the actress delivers a fantastic speech near the end.
