IND vs AUS: BCCI changes 3rd Test venue from Dharmashala to Indore

New Delhi: The 3rd Test match between India and Australia has been changed from Himanchal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) in Dharmashala to Holkar Stadium in Indore, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) said in a statement.

Venue changed due to weather conditions

The 3rd Test of Border-Gavaskar Trophy, will be played from March 1 to March 5. The match was originally scheduled to be played at Dharmashala but shifted, due to weather conditions and outfield lacks sufficient grass density.

“The third Test of the Mastercard Australia tour of India for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, originally scheduled to take place at the HPCA Stadium, Dharamsala from 1st to 5th March has now been moved to Holkar Stadium, Indore,” BCCI said.

”Owing to harsh winter conditions in the region, the outfield lacks sufficient grass density and will need some time to develop fully,” BCCI added.
