BCCI chief selector Chetan Sharma reveals classified information

BCCI chief selector Chetan Sharma is accused of revealing classified selection information during a sting operation conducted by a TV channel. Sharma has stated that most players take artificial enhancement (injections) methods, to ‘fake being fit’ to play for the matches. He has also said that prominent cricket players who are unfit to play are given the green light to play.

Sharma has also made statements to the effect that there is a dispute between the former captain  Kohli and the past BCCI president Sourav Ganguly.

Sharma was removed from the BCCI after India’s performance at the T20 world cup in Australia and was reinstated recently. If it is proven that Sharma made these statements it is very likely that will be considered a contractual violation of the confidentiality national selectors are supposed to protect. BBCI is currently looking into this matter.

It should be noted that if Sharma’s accusations of fake fitness certificates and injections to fake fitness are proven it will significantly impact Indian cricket.
