The Sri Lanka Agripreneurs’ Forum (SLAF) in collaboration with Agro World (AW) and Hatton National Bank conducted an awareness program on Sunday in Jaffna on the theme “Agri-Tech and Agri-Entrepreneurship”.

There were over 100 participants consisting of Agriculture Instructors, AMOs, Technical Assistants, and Lead Farmers. They were informed about the various financial opportunities available through HNB in the form of loan schemes and grants while Agro World and SLAF provided insights into how they can shift from traditional farming to being an agripreneur (agri-entrepreneur).

The objective of the session was to spread awareness on agripreneurship to the state officials in the region thereby communicating to the ground-level stakeholders. SLAF, as the premier forum for agribusiness in Sri Lanka, is committed to improving access to information and spreading awareness among all agri-stakeholders to ensure that the Sri Lankan agri-sector thrives, thus improving the lives of millions involved in the sector and is transformed to become a valuable contributor to the national economy.
