Skin Diet: Kitchen-Inspired Beauty Hacks For Wedding Season

Skin Diet: It’s all about celebration during the wonderful Indian wedding season. Not to mention the abundance of greasy, oily, and lip-smackingly delicious food. From golgappas and chole bhature to gulab jamun and ice creams, it’s tough to resist these delectable treats, isn’t it? While these foods delight our taste senses, excessive consumption causes health problems, the signs of which first appear on our skin.

According to nutritionist Lovneet Batra, “Your skin is a reflection of your overall health. Having a healthy, balanced and diverse gut microbiome is non-negotiable to keep you healthy.”

Skin Diet for Healthy Skin

For Puffy Eyes

To reduce puffiness, place frozen cucumber slices over your eyes for 10 minutes. You can also use frozen beet slices or frozen green tea bags in its stead.

For Bloating

To minimise bloating, Lovneet Batra recommends drinking lemon ginger water 30 minutes after eating. Water laced with coriander seeds might also help with bloating. Soak a few coriander seeds in water overnight, drain them in the morning, and drink. Also, avoid carbonated beverages.

For Fatigue

If you feel tired, the first thing Lovneet Batra listed down is to “fix the sleep schedule.” Make sure you sleep for 7-8 hours to wake up fresh. Regular exercising is essential. “Take out at least 20 mins for exercising and add foods like banana, sprout, salad, nuts, oats, coconut water” in the diet, she said.

For Radiant Skin

During the wedding season, all we need is radiant skin. Pomegranate is one fruit that might help you achieve that attention-grabbing shine. According to the dietician, the high content of Vitamin C in the fruit contributes to healthy, glowing skin.
