Six people were injured and admitted to the Jaffna Teaching Hospital after a clash which occurred following an accident between a car and a van in Chunnakam, Jaffna yesterday.
After a car and a van collided, the people in the car and van had clashed and it is said that both vehicles also had intentionally collided with each other during the clash. Those in the van are said to have used sharp weapons during the clash.A doctor at the Jaffna Teaching Hospital said that the condition of one of the four injured is serious.
Police and the STF officers had arrived at the location to diffuse the tense situation.
No one has been arrested in connection with the incident so far and the Chunnakam police have started investigations into the incident.
