People’s Leasing & Finance PLC (PLC) has launched a CSR initiative to improve the knowledge of Hybrid Automobile Technology (HAT) by awarding 50 scholarships to youth in partnership with the Vocational Training Authority of Sri Lanka (VTA).
PLC implemented the second phase of the Haritha Nana scholarship program, concentrating on the Kandy area. The program was initiated to foster financial literacy and entrepreneurship abilities. The induction program was held at Katugastota Vocational Training Centre premises recently. Manager, Marketing, Communication and Sustainability of PLC, Hishan Welmilla, Manager, PLC Kandy Branch, Senaka Munasinghe, Manager, PLC Kandy, Alsafa branch, Mohammad Amin, Manager, PLC, Pilimathalawa branch, Upul Shantha, Deputy Director, Sri Lanka Vocational Training Authority, Kandy region, Rohan Priyantha, Project Officer, Vocational Training Centre, Katugastota, U.G.S. Manike, representatives of Vocational Training Centres in the Kandy region, PLC Katugastota branch, PLC Head Office and other academic departments were also present.
Sixteen youth received scholarships to follow the Hybrid Automobile Technology and the induction program was held for the first batch of youth in Colombo recently.
