One dead, two serious in clash between two groups

Peliyagoda Police said one person has died and two others have been seriously injured in a clash between two groups in the Peliyagoda Police area.  

A 43-year-old man named Prasad Chamara, a resident of Pethiyagoda Kelaniya, has died.

A 36-year-old man has been seriously injured and it is said his two arms and a leg has been completely severed after he was attacked with sharp weapons.

He has been admitted to the Colombo National Hospital and is said to be in a critical condition. Another 42-year-old man named Kasun Lakmal, has received serious injuries to his head and one hand investigating police officers said.

The police are investigating the matter.
