COPE to conduct field inspections of sensitive institutions

The Committee on Public Enterprises (COPE) has decided to conduct field inspections of the institutions where corruption and financial irregularities are said to have taken place before summoning them to the Committee.

The Committee has decided to select institutions that should be brought before the Committee this year under the guidance of the Auditor General.

Meanwhile, the COPE Committee which met on Thursday has focused on the appointment of 12 members for six Subcommittees to obtain the contribution of all members of the Committee. The Committee has also discussed extensively on summoning sensitive institutions before the Committee in the midst of an unprecedented economic crisis.
