Countering the Congress’ accusation, the officials also said that there were several times when Rahul Gandhi disregarded the security guidelines. It said these violations were also communicated to him but there were no improvement in his actions.

Congress points out at loopholes in security arrangements

Meanwhile, Congress leader Anil Chaudhary accused that there were “loopholes” in security arrangements from Badarpur area but the situation got worse at Red Fort.

“There were loopholes in the security right from when the yatra entered via Badarpur border in Delhi. The situation got worse as it reached Red Fort later in the day. The yatra has to go to Punjab and Kashmir too and hence, enough security arrangements should be made for it,” said the Congress leader.
