The Budget session of Parliament began with President Droupadi Murmu’s inaugural address to a joint sitting of both Houses. Meanwhile, several Congress MPs, including Rajya Sabha Leader Mallikarjun Kharge, were unable to attend the President’s address due to delayed flights from Srinagar due to inclement weather. According to party leader Jairam Ramesh, several Congress leaders and MPs were in Srinagar on Monday for the Bharat Jodo Yatra’s final events.
