Bank holidays: There is good news for bank employees and hectic days ahead for common man as banks in India will be remain closed for 10 days in February. According to the holiday list of Reserve bank of India (RBI) the banks will remain close for nine days, including second and fourth Saturdays and Sundays.

Banks continue to operate on the first and third Saturdays of each month. Some of these bank holidays will be state-specific, while central holidays will see banks closed nationwide.

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has classified holidays into three types: Real-Time Gross Settlement Holidays, Negotiable Instruments Act Holidays, and Banks’ Closing of Accounts.

Here is a complete list of bank holidays in February 2023:

2nd February 2023: Holiday in Sikkim for Sonam Losar

5th February 2023: Sunday

5th February 2023: Holiday in UP for Hazrat Ali Jayanti and Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, and Punjab for Guru Ravidas Jayanti

February 11th, 2023: Second Saturday

February 12th, 2023: Sunday

February 15th, 2023: Banks in Imphal will remain closed due to Lui-Ngai-Ni

February 18, 2023: Due to Mahashivratri (Maha Vad-14)/Sivarathri, banks in Ahmedabad, Belapur, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Dehradun, Hyderabad (AP and Telangana), Jammu, Kanpur, Kochi, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Raipur, Ranchi, Shimla, Srinagar, and Thiruvananthapuram will be closed

February 19th, 2023: Sunday

February 19, 2023: Banks in Maharashtra will be closed in observance of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti

February 20, 2023: Banks in Aizawl, Arunachal Pradesh, and Manipur will be closed in observance of State Day

February 21st, 2023: Banks in Gangtok will be closed on February 21st, 2023, due to Losar

February 25th, 2023: Fourth Saturday

February 26th, 2023: Sunday
