A Police Inspector who served as the head of the Police post outside President’s House in Nuwara Eliya was arrested Saturday (24) by the Nuwara Eliya Police on suspicion of unruly behaviour after consuming alcohol.
The officer attached to Keerthi Bandarapura Police Station had been called to Nuwara Eliya for special duties and was assigned to the police post outside the President’s House. Steps were taken to suspend him yesterday (25).
