The December 2022 Convocation of SLIIT, the country's most prestigious and well-recognized non-state higher educational institute, was held on the 15th and 16th of December 2022 at the SLIIT Auditorium.
During this Convocation, over 750 students were conferred with bachelor’s and master’s degrees.
The event was participated by Chief Executive Officer of Janashakthi Insurance PLC, Ravi Liyanage; President of the Computer Society of Sri Lanka, Damith Hettihewa; President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka, Sanjaya Bandara; the Director of British Council (Sri Lanka), Orlando Edwards and Pro-Vice-Chancellor of Faculty of Arts Professional & Social Studies, Liverpool John Moores University of UK, Professor Joe Yates.
Professor Nimal Rajapakshe, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of SLIIT said, “I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations to all the graduates for reaching this significant milestone. To say we're pleased with your accomplishments would be an understatement as your commitment to studies in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic, and economic issues among other difficulties is inspiring. You came to SLIIT with high hopes of reaching your full potential and developing yourself intellectually, emotionally, and socially. I have no doubt that you gained valuable knowledge and experience during your time at SLIIT. Our institution is committed to producing graduates who are strong contributors to the economic and social growth of Sri Lanka.”
