The 43rd General Convocation of the Moratuwa University will be held on December 20 and 21 at the BMICH in six sessions. Chancellor Vidya Jyothi Professor Emeritus K.K.Y.W. Perera, will preside. 2,329 graduands will be conferred degrees, with over 573 at the postgraduate level which includes 15 PhDs. The Faculty of Architecture has 348 graduates receiving their first degree and 65 receiving their postgraduate degrees and diplomas. The Faculty of Engineering has 1,039 graduates receiving their first degree at this convocation and 429 graduands receiving their postgraduate degrees and diplomas including 4 doctoral students. The Faculty of Information Technology has 291 graduates receiving their first degree and 37 graduands receiving their postgraduate degrees and diplomas.
The Faculty of Business will witness their first undergraduate batch of intake 2,017 obtaining their first degree (78 graduates) while 42 will receive their postgraduate degrees and diploma.
