Minoli Perera becomes first Sri Lankan-born Australian Ambassador

The Australian Government has appointed Sri Lankan-born Minoli Perera as Australia’s next Ambassador to Zimbabwe. Perera will also be accredited to the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the Republic of the Congo, Malawi and Zambia. 

Perera is a senior career officer with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade serving as Chief Security Officer, and most recently as First Assistant Secretary, Executive Division.

She has previously served overseas in Beijing, Port Moresby, New York, Buenos Aires and Tel Aviv.
