Delhi-Dehradun Expressway: Now reach Rishikesh in just 2 hours from Delhi!

Delhi-Dehradun Expressway: Big and good news for those who wants to spend their life in serenity and tranquilty during two-day week offs. The credit goes to all the effort of National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) that is about to complete Delhi-Dehradun Expressway work before deadline.

The Delhi-Dehradun Expressway, which would go through various Uttar Pradesh cities, is most likely to be finished by December 2023. The original deadline was 2024, but it has already been changed to 2023. The construction of this elevated road will reduce the time required to travel from 5 to 6 hours to approximately 2 hours between Delhi and Dehradun. This motorway would travel via Ghaziabad from Delhi to Saharanpur. In Dehradun, this motorway will be finished.

Delhi-Dehradun Expressway

The Delhi-Dehradun Expressway will stretch about 210 kilometres. This motorway will be located primarily in Uttar Pradesh. It will have 12 lanes from Delhi so that traffic from the NCR may easily flow through the highway. Later on, though, it will only have six lanes. There will be 12 lanes on the 14 kilometres in Delhi and the 12 kilometres in Ghaziabad. Dehradun is currently accessible via the Delhi-Meerut Expressway. The Delhi-Meerut Freeway will have less traffic as a result of the new motorway.

Akshardham will serve as the expressway’s starting point. It will be connected to EPE as well. There will be 7 entry and exit locations along the first section of the highway.

Gandhinagar-Geeta Colony has entry and departure points 5.5 kilometres from Akshardham. After 7.4 kilometres, at ISBT-Dilshad Garden Marg, 9.5 kilometres, at Khajuri Pusta Marg, and 11.2 kilometres, at Signature Bridge Marg, one can enter and exit the motorway.

The highway will also help the citizens of Saharanpur, Baghpat, Muzaffarnagar, Haridwar, Shamli, and Haryana.

People who travel from Baghpat to Delhi for work in excess of 1.5 hours will be able to do it in less than one hour. Just 18 kilometres will separate them from one another.

On the motorway, a speed limit of 100 km/h will be permitted.

This would also aid anyone who want to travel to Rishikesh. They may travel from Dehradun to the holy city in under three hours.

Additionally, this route will aid in reducing traffic in the Delhi-NCR region.
