Earlier on Thursday, 268 new cases of corona infection were reported in the country. The good thing is that during this time no one was killed. As compared to yesterday, a decrease of 25 has been recorded in the daily number of new infected patients.
According to the data released by the Ministry of Health this morning (30 December 2022), 243 new cases of corona infection were reported in the country in the last 24 hours. During this, 196 people managed to beat the corona virus infection. With this, the number of active cases of corona has increased to 3 thousand 609 in the country. In the last 24 hours, an increase of 47 has been recorded in the number of active cases.
With this, the total number of corona infected in the country has increased to 4 crore 46 lakh 78 thousand 158. While the number of people getting cured has increased to a total of 4 crore 41 lakh 43 thousand 877. At the same time, a total of 5 lakh 30 thousand 697 people have died due to corona virus infection in the country.

Now the recovery rate in the country has increased to 98.80 percent. The daily positivity rate is 0.15% and the weekly positivity rate is 0.18%. While the death rate remains at 1.19 percent. According to the information available on the website of the Ministry, under the nationwide vaccination campaign, more than 220.09 crore doses of anti-Covid-19 vaccines have been given so far.
Let us tell you that on August 9, 2020, the number of people infected with the corona virus in India had crossed 20 lakhs, on August 23, 2020, 30 lakhs and on September 5, 2020, more than 40 lakhs. The total cases of infection crossed 50 lakh on 16 September 2020, 60 lakh on 28 September 2020, 70 lakh on 11 October 2020, 80 lakh on 29 October 2020 and 90 lakh on 20 November. On 19 December 2020, these cases had crossed one crore in the country. Last year on May 4, the number of infected had crossed two crore and on June 23, 2021, it crossed three crore. On January 25 this year, the total cases of infection had crossed four crores.
