The third-generation iPhone SE 2022, which was released in March, marked the end of the line for the SE. Apple’s next iPhone SE model was expected in 2024.

However, according to renowned Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple may decide to delay or cancel the release of the iPhone SE 4. The potential reason? They say this may be because shipments of mid-range to entry-level iPhones, such as the iPhone SE 3, iPhone 13 mini, and the recently released iPhone 14 Plus, have been smaller than expected.
WhatsApp analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said “According to my latest study, Apple is likely to delay or abandon its intention to mass produce the iPhone SE 4 in 2024. In a tweet, Kuo stated: “I believe this is a result of consistently lower than expected shipments of mid-range to lower-end iPhones (e.g. SE 3, 13 mini and 14 Plus)”.

Also, they claim that the SE 4’s all-screen design may result in higher manufacturing and sales costs. “As a result, Apple may have to reassess the SE 4’s product positioning and return on investment,” he added.

The 4th generation iPhone SE from Apple was expected to have a small display with a diagonal of 5.7 to 6.1 inches. The A16 chip, which currently powers the top-of-the-range iPhone 14 models and is expected to power the regular iPhone 15, was most likely to power Apple’s iPhone SE 4.
