Sri Lanka’s trailblazing insurer, Union Assurance, held the Distribution Mid-year Awards 2022 to celebrate and recognise the performance of its top achievers in the Agency and Corporate channels. Over 450 advisors and account managers representing both channels attended the ceremony at the Blue Water Hotel in Wadduwa.
“This year has been tough for all of us,” said Chief Executive Officer, Jude Gomes. “Despite the many hurdles in the market conditions, the Company steamed ahead in the first half, seeing advancements in multiple parameters, and our advisors were a significant force behind this accomplishment.”
Chanaka Appuhamy from the Chilaw Region clinched the award for the National New Business Champion, the highest recognition awarded at the ceremony for the Agency channel. Praneeth Wimalasiri was named as the Corporate Channel New Business Champion. The Ward Place Region, led by Gayan Bandara won the Best Region Award. The Eastern Zone led by Yoganathan Ladchumiharan was named the Best Zone Award in the Small to Medium Category, while the Northern Zone won the Best Zone Award in the Large Category.
