A trainee Police Constable who had spent the night in his girlfriend’s room after sneaking through a window has been caught by the girlfriend’s father and handed over to the Hambantota harbour police.
Hambantota Harbour Police officials have investigated the incident and has released him on bail.
Investigations have revealed that the trainee Police officer, who is a resident of Agunukolapalasse, had gone to his girlfriend’s house following a request by her.
Police say that the girlfriend allowed her boyfriend to enter her bedroom through the window at night. The girlfriend’s father told the Police to enforce the law against the suspect who had entered his house without permission.
