The officer attached to the Sri Lankan Embassy in Oman, against whom sexual harassment charges have come up, is facing an imminent arrest, the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) said.
The suspect named E. Kushan will be arrested when he arrives in the country today or tomorrow. He was heading the Foreign Employment Bureau in the Sri Lankan Embassy in Oman. He had allegedly sexually harassed the women who had come to the “Suraksha” safe house. Several women have complained to the CID against this officer. It is also alleged that he had returned the women, who sought the assistance of the safe house, back to the job agencies.
