Korean embassy launches ‘Feel the Real Korea; Virtual Tour 2022’ at CCC

In celebration of the 45th Anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and Sri Lanka, the Korean Embassy proudly presents ‘Feel the Real Korea; Virtual Tour 2022’, a virtual reality (VR) tour to two of the most popular tourist destinations in Korea.

As the Virtual Tour held last year for the very first time in Sri Lanka was a great success, the Korean Embassy is now gearing to re-launch the Virtual Tour in 2022 following last year’s event. This occasion will take place from Thursday 10th of November to Saturday 12th of November 2022, at the Colombo City Centre. Those who are interested in taking a virtual visit to Jeju Island, the largest Island of Korea and Gyeongju, a historical City of Korea, are welcome to the visit the Colombo City Centre on all three consecutive days.

Culture is pivotal in strengthening ties between the two countries. To mark the celebratory year of diplomatic relations, the Korean Embassy has organised a series of special cultural events like the Korean Lantern Festival, Quiz on Korea, K-pop World festival, Korean Ambassador’s Taekwondo Championship and the Korean Film Festival 2022. ‘Feel the Real Korea; Virtual Tour 2022’ will also be an opportunity to strengthen the tourism cooperation between Korea and Sri Lanka and bridge our two cultures together.

This unique and wonderful experience will enable all visitors to travel to Jeju Island, the largest island in Korea that features beautiful beaches and lush countryside. Gyeongju, a historical City of Korea showcases the beautiful harmony of tradition and modernization, enchanting visitors with distinct four seasons. All visitors of this Virtual Tour will be immersed in the dazzling range of experiences Korea has to offer, including beautiful landscapes and 5000 years of culture and history. Moreover, ‘Feel the Real Korea; Virtual Tour 2022’ is composed of many fun-activities including a station to design DIY Korean handcrafts, a photo zone to pose with traditional Korean attire on display.
