Black Panther 2 has already made $58.8 million worldwide, according to a report from Deadline, and will see a significant increase this weekend due to the franchise’s enormous fan base in India, where it just opened.

The movie has, however, performed worse at the box office than its other Marvel sequels, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and Thor: Love and Thunder, which were both released earlier this year. In comparison to Thor: Love and Thunder, which was released in July, Doctor Strange 2, which debuted in May, made Rs 28.35 crore on its first day, according to Bollywood Hungama.

Internationally acclaimed and earning $1.3 billion, the first Black Panther movie also earned Marvel its first-ever Best Picture Oscar nomination. The movie made Rs 5.50 crore nett on its first day of release in India and ended up grossing Rs 52.53 crore throughout its whole run. Black Panther 2 far outperformed similar new releases Uunchai and Thai Massage in terms of first-day sales.
