‘Amaradeva Asapuwa’ to be completed next year

More than eighty percent of the construction work in the ‘W.D.Amaradeva’ Asapuwa has been completed.

Additional Secretary (Cultural Promotion) of the Ministry of Buddha Sasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs Thilak Nandana Hettiarachchi said that necessary provisions have been allocated for its construction next year. Rs.20 mn has been allocated for this purpose.

He also said that the activities of this Asapuwa will be completed next year. Among the objectives of this are to prepare the background for producing creations on local music for expert and amateur musicians, to hold discussion seminars and workshops related to the subject of music, and to conduct research on the related subject.
