WhatsApp ‘Call Link’ feature: Step-by-step guide to use it on Android and iOS devices

New Delhi: WhatsApp keeps on adding new features to improve the user experience. Apart from Messages, this instant messaging app owned by Meta also allows users to make voice and video calls. This time around, the platform has rolled out a new update for its voice and video calling feature Call Link.

The Call Link feature is currently available on both Android and iOS devices on the Calls tab of WhatsApp. This feature allows users to create and share voice or video call links with their contacts. Once the link is opened, it will directly connect their contacts to an active voice or video call.

Each time the user creates a call link, the URL is of 22 characters and is different each time. So that no one can guess their call link. If users lose or forget the link they’ve created, it’s easy to create another link. These links can be used for 90 days. Users can block people whom they do not want to enter their call link.

In this way, WhatsApp can create and share voice or video call links.

Open WhatsApp on your iOS or Android device
Go to call tab
Tap on Create Call Link option available at the top
Select your call type, whether you want to make a video or sound call
Hit the share link or copy link button
Send link in WhatsApp chat, group or any other app
