Srinagar: Two terrorists were killed in an encounter by security forces in Jammu & Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Monday, police said.
The encounter broke out during a cordon and search operation in Tangpawa area of Anantnag district on Sunday night, police said.
During the firing exchange, two terrorists were killed on Monday morning.
Additional Director General of Police, Kashmir, Vijay Kumar said the two were locals and affiliated with Lashkar-e-Taiba.
“They were involved in several terror crime cases,” he said.
