The SATA has been recognizing the best of South Asia’s hospitality and travel industry since 2016. The prestigious annual event, honors stellar organizations and individuals in a wide array of categories. This year’s South Asian Travel Awards (SATA 2022) was held in Maldives on 30th September for the sixth time.
Rapid Adventures (PVT) Ltd, a leading adventure based travel and tourism company in Sri Lanka has won the Silver Award under the Leading Adventure Service Provider Award Category at SATA 2022. The award for them was conferred by the High Commissioner of Pakistan, His Excellency Khatal Mukhtar to the Managing Director of Rapid Adventures, Mr. Chaturanga Madurawala.
It is a matter of great pride for us, Sri Lankans that a Sri Lankan Company has won this award after several rounds of extremely competitive, where nominations were opened with over 52 categories for properties and brands to compete, in addition to Visitors Choice Awards and Special Recognition Awards.
For Sri Lanka tourism, they have contributed their effort and time throughout the following websites www.rapidadventures.lk, www.kitulgalarafting.com and www.visitmeemure.com. And also thru the various projects with many University Clubs and Associations in Sri Lanka they did a great job.
There is no doubt that this victory achieved during such a period when the country is facing an economic crisis will be of great help in creating an awakening in the tourism sector.
