Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardana announced to the House that Parliamentarian Patali Champika Ranawaka has been nominated to serve on the National Council.
Further, the Speaker announced that Parliamentarian M. Rameshwaran has been nominated to serve on the National Council to fill the vacancy that occurred due to the resignation of Parliamentarian and General Secretary of the Ceylon Workers Congress Jeevan Thondaman from the membership of the National Council.
The next meeting of the National Assembly is scheduled to be held today.
