Karadiyanaru Police on Wednesday found 94 kg of C4 type high explosive material buried in plastic barrels in forest area in Sinnamale, Karadiyanaru.
The explosives were packed in 47 parcels wrapped in polythene. The police suspect that this stock of explosives may have been buried for future use during the war.
Following information received, the police have launched a raid an found the stock of explosives.
