Missing Pera student returned

Peradeniya University Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Media Spokesman Prof. Terence Madujith said the student of Peradeniya University’s Engineering Faculty, who had been missing for 10 days, returned to the university on Wednesday (12) afternoon.

The third-year student of the Faculty of Engineering went missing from his hostel on October 2 after leaving a written letter and the university administration had lodged a complaint with the police. It has been revealed that the student has spent several days in and around Badulla.

He had also called his mother and informed her he was safe. Police had also used GPS technology to track him through his mobile phone, which was not successful.
