New Delhi: The Election Commission on Friday is set to announce schedule for assembly polls in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh.
The Election commission convened a press conference at 3 pm on Friday but has not yet cleared the reason.
It is noteworthy that the term of the Gujarat Assembly ends on February 18 next year (in 2023) while that of Himachal Pradesh on January 8, 2023.
The poll body had recently visited the two states to take stock of poll preparedness.
