Dean of the Arts Faculty of the University of Peradeniya Dr Prabath Ekanayake yesterday said that 169 undergraduates have left the university without completing their studies due to ragging during the past 22 years.
It is tragedy that children who enter the university with great expectations after passing the Advanced Level examination have to give up their education due to this.
He said that 15 to 16 students leave the university a year due to ragging.
