New Delhi: Around 13 people fell ill after consuming stale food in Jahanganj area of the Farrukhabad district on Saturday.
Police sources told news agency UNI that a function was organised at the house of Anil Kumar, a resident of Mohiuddinpur on Friday evening. “Around 3:30 am 13 people complained of stomach ache and vomiting after which they were taken to the community health center,” they said.
Police sources said four people, including Guddi, Nirmala, Sant Pal and Itendra were referred to Dr Ram Manohar Lohia hospital.
“Remaining patients were admitted to Kokmalganj CHC,” they said.
Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Dr Avnindra Kumar after visiting the hospital said proper treatment was being provided and the condition of all patients was stable, the report said.
Father of one of the patients said that everyone had dry potato sabji, puri, kachori, panjiri and panchamrit in the feast. Some people are fine but the health of others have deteriorated.
