Won’t accept it: Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde on Yakub Memon’s decorated grave

Mumbai: Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Friday informed that the Home Ministry will look into the matter related to the decoration of the grave of 1992 Mumbai serial blasts convict Yakub Memon.
Said the Shiv Sena leader: “Yakub Memon is an accused in Bombay Blast, cannot be glorified. We will not accept this or let it happen. I have informed BMC and Mumbai Police about it, the Home Ministry will take appropriate action.”

Photos and videos of Yakub Memon’s grave have surfaced. There are green lights around the tomb, big lights are installed near it. Marble is on.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) accused the Chief Minister Thackeray and alleged that the grave of Yakub was converted into tomb during the former’s tenure. This allegation has been made by BJP leader Ram Kadam.

The caretaker of the cemetery said the place where Yakub’s grave is has been taken by his family. His family members are also buried there. Marbles are not only found around Jacob’s grave but also in the surrounding tombs.

Green lights and marbles have been installed by his family members. Big lights have been installed so that there is light in the cemetery.
