Doctors are also surprised after knowing about this matter. The doctor said that this is rare and quite bizarre, but not impossible. Doctors termed this case as one in lakhs.
The case has emerged from Brazil. Here a 19-year-old girl gave birth to twins, after which the DNA test of the children was done. When the report came, it was found that the father of both the children is different. After knowing about this, the mother of the twins was also surprised. He said that he never thought anything like this was possible.
How did this happen?
In fact, when the mother of the twins was talked to, she told that she had sex with two men on the same day. Nine months later she gave birth to twins. After giving birth to the children, she started thinking about their father. When she was in doubt, she decided to undergo a paternity test.
After this, the DNA of the person whom the girl believed to be the father of the children was taken. When the DNA of the individual and the DNA of the children were matched, the DNA of the same child was able to match. After this the mother of the children called another person, whose DNA matched with that of the other child.
Tulio Jorge Franco, the obstetrician, told that this type of case is called heteropaternal superfecundation. There are only 20 such cases in the world. He said that in such a case, the twins look exactly alike but their DNA does not match.
