New Delhi: Sonali Phogat’s daughter and family is not happy with the ongoing investigation in the recent death of the BJP leader. Her daughter Yashodhara has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. She has demanded that the case should be transferred to the CBI.
The family of the deceased has also asked police protection for Yashodhara. After the death of Sonali Phogat. Yashodhara is the heir of all her assets. In the view of this, her family has cited danger to the life of Yashodhara.
These arrests have been made in the case
Sonali Phogat died on August 23, 2022. The initial investigation revealed that she died of natural causes. But as soon as the post-mortem reports were released, grave finding were unveiled. The report stated that Phogat suffered from blunt hit injuries. Till now 5 people have been arrested in the case. Sonali’s PA Sudhir Sangwan an her friend Sukhwinder are also among the ones who were arrested.

The family of Sonali Phogat and her daughter has demanded a CBI enquiry into the matter. Yashodhara has written a letter to PM Modi seeking justice for her mother. Yashodhara wrote in the letter, “I, Yashodhara Phogat, daughter of Sonali Phogat, appeal to the government to hand over the investigation of this case from Goa Police to CBI.” he family says that there is political pressure on the Goa Police, due to which it is not investigating properly.
Family raise questions on Goa Police investigation
Sonali Phogat’s family is calling her murder a well-planned conspiracy and has been questioning the police investigation since the very beginning. Sudhir Sangwan and Sukhwinder are the main accused in the Sonali Phogat murder case. During interrogation by the police, Sudhir and Sukhwinder had confessed to forcibly giving drugs to Sonali Phogat.
On the other hand, Sonali Phogat’s brother-in-law claimed that Sudhir had planned to kill Sonali from Hisar itself. He already had an eye on Sonali’s property. He used to take all the decisions and did not allow anyone to meet Sonali.
