On PM Modi’s birthday, Congress celebrates unemployment day

New Delhi: On Saturday, the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Youth Congress celebrated National Unemployment Day across the country. During this, unemployed fairs were organized in Congress offices across the country. Youth Congress President Srinivas BV said that the Modi government has brought the gift of unemployment to the country, so unemployed youth are considering his birthday as National Unemployment Day.

He further said that India is the country with the largest youth population in the world. But 60 percent of the youth of the country are roaming unemployed and 42 percent of the youth in the age group of 20 to 24 years are unemployed. He said that the country has the highest unemployment in 45 years, but the Modi government is working only for the selected two industrialists and it is not seeing the problem of unemployed youth.

The Youth Congress leader said that every sixth graduate youth of the country is unemployed. In eight years, 22 crore people applied for central government jobs, but the Modi government could not provide jobs to even one percent of the people. The unemployment rate is at a year high. In August alone, 20 lakh jobs were lost. 60 lakh posts are lying vacant in the center and states, why is the government not doing anything on that?
