Applications for teacher transfers will not be accepted again until next year by the Education Ministry.
Accordingly, applications for teacher transfers and teacher attachments will not be accepted until the new academic year 2023.
The new academic year is scheduled to begin on February 9, 2023.
The Teacher Transfer Boards are working these days regarding the transfer of teachers for which applications were accepted in April 2022.
“The Teacher Transfer Board decisions are to be given before the start of the new academic year 2023. Till then new applications for teacher transfers will not be accepted,” an Education Ministry sources said.
It was proposed that the teachers, who have been attached due to transportation difficulties will expire on August 31, 2022. However, those teachers can work in the attached school itself only with the consent of the principal of the respective school until the date mentioned in the attachment letter.
All principals are informed not to issue attachment letters for transportation difficulties, after December 31 this year.
However, pregnant teachers will be given letters of attachment based on health reasons substantiated by medical records.
The above decision does not apply to the attachments based on the service requirements of schools. The attachments will be given by the Director of Education (Teacher Transfer) at the Education Ministry.
