Jeep Compass price hiked by Rs 90,000, check here

New Delhi: Jeep has hiked the prices of the Compass by Rs 90,000 across all variants. The Compass now starts at Rs 19.29 lakh for the base sports petrol variant with manual transmission, going up to Rs 32.22 lakh for the range-topping Trailhawk.

Additionally, dealer sources confirm that Jeep has discontinued the Longitude (O) variant, which was available with 1.4-litre DCT petrol and 2.0-litre diesel engine combinations with manual transmission.

Dealer sources also tell us that the wait time for the Compass is three months for the base Sport variant and six to eight weeks for higher variants. With its wide price range, the Compass competes with a range of SUVs such as the Tata Harrier and the newly launched Hyundai Tucson.

Powertrain options for the Compass include a 163bhp 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and a 173bhp 2.0-litre diesel engine mated to either a 6-speed manual or 9-speed gearbox. -speed automatic transmission.

The Compass was launched in 2017 and underwent a mid-life facelift in 2021; its 5th Anniversary Edition launched in August. Towards the end of this year, the American SUV manufacturer is also planning to launch the new generation Jeep Grand Cherokee in the Indian market.
