Hyundai Venue N Line launched in India, know price

New Delhi: Hyundai has launched the N Line version of its compact SUV – the Venue – at a starting price of Rs 12.16 lakh (ex-showroom) and up to Rs 13.15 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top-spec N8 trim.

Bookings for the Venue N line are already underway for Rs 21,000. In addition to the new cosmetic bits, the Venue N Line gets a sportier suspension setup and exhaust.

Based on the facelifted Venue, it is the second N Line model from Hyundai in India after the i20 N Line and comes in two trims – N6 and N8. Specifications: The N6 costs Rs 1.19 lakh more than the S(O) and the N8 is Rs 58,000 more than the range-topping SX(O).

Hyundai Venue N Line: under the skin

The Venue N Line comes with a single powertrain – a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 120 PS and 172 Nm of torque, which is mated to a 7-speed DCT with paddle shifters, unlike the i20 N Line, which also offers a 6-speed iMT option. .

But like the i20 N Line, the Venue N Line gets a few mechanical tweaks to differentiate itself as a sportier alternative to the standard model.

At the rear, it has twin exhaust pipes with an improved exhaust note, and the suspension and steering have been tweaked with the promise of sharper cornering and a more settled drive. In addition, the Hyundai Venue N Line comes with disc brakes at all four corners.

Hyundai Venue N Line: Design and Features

The cosmetic changes are really the main point for the Venue N Line. It gets N Line badging on the front bumper, redesigned front and rear bumpers with red accents at the bottom, red inserts on the roof rails and new design 16-inch alloy wheels with red front calipers. The N series is available in a total of five color variants – three dual and two monotone.

The Venue N Line’s interior shares the same basic layout as the standard model, but now features an all-black interior theme with red accents and N Line logos spread across the cabin. It also gets a new three-spoke steering wheel design as found on the Hyundai i20 N-Line.

Based on the range-topping SX(O), the N8 trim has equipment such as a dual-camera dash cam, 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, connected car technology, ambient lighting, power driver’s seat, integrated air cleaner, voice. commands and digital instrument panel.

In terms of safety, the Venue N Line is equipped as standard with ESP, Hill Start Assist and Brake Assist; the N6 trim has two airbags, while the N8 trim has six.

The regular Venue takes on the likes of the Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon and Mahindra XUV300, but the Venue N Line is positioned as a more driver-focused alternative in the compact SUV space.
